Keep your next enquiry in mind as you read.

Your Framer site has beautiful type, thoughtful spacing and a button you moved three pixels to the left. Twice.

Then the contact form arrives. Six grey boxes and a “Submit” that sounds like a small legal threat. We can give that first hello a little more charm.

A good form feels like part of the site, asks questions someone can answer and gets those answers somewhere useful. Picking a builder means choosing how all three happen.

Here are five approaches: Kibi Forms, Framer’s native forms, Formspark, Tally and Typeform. They solve different jobs, so this is a shortlist with reasons, rather than five identical gold medals.

THE QUICK TAKE

## Key takeaways

- Choose native Framer layers when editing the form alongside your page matters. Choose an embed when you prefer a separate builder’s workflow.

- Kibi Forms is our first pick for designed native forms. The free Marketplace plugin adds designs, fields and steps; CRM setup is separate.

- Test the published form on a phone and confirm the answers reach their destination. A thank-you message is only one part of the check.

- Give business enquiries a person and a next action. Your contact form should start a conversation worth continuing.

## What is the best form builder for Framer?

For native Framer designs and extra fields, start with Kibi Forms. Framer’s own forms suit straightforward contact pages. Formspark handles delivery; Tally and Typeform bring separate form-building workflows through embeds.

The best fit depends on where you want to edit, which questions you need and where answers should go. A form with five thoughtful questions can beat a magnificent twenty-question obstacle course.

These are five ways to build and deliver forms, not five equivalent plugins. A design plugin, a submission service and an embedded questionnaire each change a different part of the job.

## A little disclosure before the first hello.

We make Kibi Forms and Kibi CRM. Kibi leads our shortlist for designed native forms because that is the job we built it to do.

We checked current official listings and documentation on 18 October 2026. This is a documentation-based comparison, without a timed performance test, conversion study or independent product score.

Our criteria are simple: where the form is edited, how it fits the page, how answers arrive and what needs checking before publication. The right choice can still be someone else’s tool.

## Five routes. Pick the one that fits the brief.

START WITH THE BRIEF Editorial guide · choose what matters to your form

### What kind of hello are you building?

Choose your form-building priorityDesign in FramerKeep it simpleEmbed a questionnaire

THE CANVAS COMES FIRST

#### Keep the form in the same design conversation.

Start with native layers when matching the rest of your Framer site matters. Kibi Forms gives you designed sections and extra fields to work with.

- Restyle the form alongside the page.

- Choose where answers should arrive.

- Check the journey after the button.

A lovely form earns the first hello. A clear destination gives that hello somewhere to go.

A SHORT CONTACT FORM

#### Sometimes a few fields are the whole brief.

If the job is a straightforward contact form, start with Framer’s own Form. Add complexity when the enquiry needs it, rather than because a tool offers it.

- Ask only what the first reply needs.

- Check the chosen delivery destination.

- Test a real submission on a phone.

Three useful questions can be more inviting than a questionnaire with commitment issues.

ANOTHER TOOL ON YOUR PAGE

#### Let the questions lead. Check the seams.

An embedded questionnaire can suit a longer briefing process. Give its mobile layout, loading and handover the same attention as the surrounding Framer page.

- Check the embed’s height on a small screen.

- Try the form with a keyboard.

- Find the answer where your team expects it.

Different address, same responsibility: somebody still needs to pick up the enquiry.

This helps you choose a starting point. It isn’t a product score or a feature benchmark.

Start with the job, then choose the tool. A short callback form and a branching research survey do not need the same evening’s worth of configuration.

Use the table for the quick decision. The sections below explain the setup and trade-offs, including the bits a glossy feature list can glide past.

Five Framer form-building approaches, checked against official documentation on 18 October 2026.

| Start here | Good fit — and what to check |
| --- | --- |
| Kibi Forms | Designed native forms, richer choices and steps. Configure delivery in Framer; the free plugin does not connect to Kibi CRM or include file uploads. |
| Framer native forms | A straightforward contact form you design on the canvas. Choose email, Google Sheets or a webhook and test the destination. |
| Formspark | A submission service with a dashboard and exports. Framer documents an integration component; check the fields and integrations your setup needs. |
| Tally | A separate, document-style builder embedded in Framer. Check the embed’s height, branding and response workflow. |
| Typeform | A guided questionnaire managed in Typeform. Check the required plan, logic paths and embedded experience on your published site. |

## 1. Kibi Forms: a native form with a head start.

If you want the form to look like it belongs on your Framer site, Kibi Forms gives you a designed starting point you can change on the canvas.

The free Marketplace plugin includes nine editable form sections, from Contact and Project enquiry to Project brief and Quick quote. It needs no Kibi account or CRM subscription.

Seven extra field choices add phone with country, pills, cards, pictures, star ratings, a 0–10 score and a slider. You can add them to an existing native Framer form.

Use Style or Match my site to work with shared colours and typography. Kibi supplies the additional fields and steps; the form still uses Framer’s native Form and editable layers.

For a longer brief, multi-step progress, Back and answer-based visibility help you ask relevant questions. A visitor asking for a small refresh should not have to describe an imaginary five-storey headquarters.

Open the plugin in a project you can edit, add a design, adjust its questions and configure Framer’s submission settings. Then test the destination before publishing.

The current Marketplace edition does not include file uploads or connect the form to Kibi CRM. Choose it for native design and form behaviour; plan delivery deliberately.

## 2. Framer native forms: keep a short hello simple.

For a name, email and useful question, Framer’s built-in form is a sensible starting point. You can design the form in the same project as the page.

Insert a form component, edit the fields and set the destination. Framer documents email, Google Sheets and custom webhooks, along with editable form states and built-in spam protection.

Use those states to explain what happens while sending, after success or when something goes wrong. Clear feedback is part of the form’s design, even when nobody is admiring the border radius.

Give each field an understandable name. “Project type” is easier for a teammate to recognise than an untouched placeholder name that made sense only during your late-night build.

Choose this route when the brief is straightforward and you want direct canvas control. Check any specialist field or branching requirement before assuming the built-in component covers it.

Publish a test and inspect the actual result. The button’s appearance and the destination are separate settings; both need a little attention.

## 3. Formspark: give the answers somewhere to land.

Formspark focuses on handling submissions. It provides a dashboard, email delivery and exports, which makes it worth considering when receiving and managing answers is the main requirement.

Framer documents a Formspark integration component. Create or open your form in Formspark, copy its Form ID and enter that ID in the Framer component.

That documented component has Name, Email and Message toggles plus appearance controls. This describes Framer’s integration component, rather than every form someone could build with Formspark.

Formspark also offers CSV and JSON exports and connections to other tools. Check which integrations your workspace includes before planning a whole handover around them.

Choose it when you want a managed submission destination and the integration fits your questions. It is a different job from a plugin that adds editable design sections and extra fields.

A charming front door still needs a working letterbox. Formspark is a candidate for the letterbox part of the brief.

## 4. Tally: write the questions elsewhere, bring them along.

Tally suits people who prefer a document-style form builder. Build and publish the form in Tally, then use its Framer plugin to embed the published form on your page.

Tally documents multi-step forms, conditional logic, file uploads and a response dashboard. If those are essential to your brief, inspect the relevant feature and plan before committing.

The embedded form remains a Tally form. Its questions are edited in Tally rather than becoming individual native Framer layers you restyle on the canvas.

That can be a useful trade. A team comfortable writing questions in Tally can manage that form separately while the surrounding page stays in Framer.

Check dynamic height, background and title settings against the actual page. A long form should not end with the visitor wondering which of two scrollbars has custody of the next question.

Tally’s branding removal and custom domains are paid features. Use its current plans for the boundaries that matter to your form; this shortlist does not promise every feature is free.

## 5. Typeform: let a questionnaire lead the conversation.

Typeform is worth considering when a guided questionnaire is central to the experience. You manage the form in Typeform and place it on your Framer site.

Framer’s setup guide describes copying the published form’s ID from Typeform and adding it to the Typeform integration. Then check sizing and the header and footer options.

Typeform supports logic and branching, with results available in its own platform. Plan the shortest and longest paths before getting attached to the opening question’s perfectly chosen wording.

Edit and publish changes in Typeform so the embedded version receives them. Keep a note of who owns the form as well as who owns the Framer page.

Typeform also offers wider contact and automation features. Compare the workflow you need rather than assuming an embedded form ends at collecting responses.

Check the current plan for required features and response allowances. Then try the published embed on a phone, including an error and a changed answer, before inviting real enquiries.

## Build around the first reply, not the whole relationship.

Before adding a field, ask what someone will do with the answer. If it does not change the first useful reply, it may belong later.

For a studio enquiry, that might mean a name, contact route, project type and a short description. Ask for a deadline when it helps you respond, rather than because dates look professional.

Use labels that stay understandable while typing. Placeholder text can offer an example, but a disappearing hint should not carry the entire question.

Explain what happens next in words your business can honour. “Tell us about your project” is warmer than “Submit”; a response-time promise needs a team ready to keep it.

Illustrative studio brief — adapt it to your business

What are you hoping to make? A new website or a refresh? Tell us the useful bit, leave your preferred contact details, and we’ll take the conversation from there.

## Use steps when they make the questions kinder.

A multi-step Framer form can break a longer brief into manageable groups. It can also hide how much work remains. Give visitors progress and a way back.

With Kibi’s Project brief or Quick quote design, use answer-based rules for relevant questions and steps. Check what happens when someone goes Back and changes the controlling answer.

Do not split three easy questions into three ceremonial page turns. Use a step when it helps the person understand the task.

Keep the destination check separate. Saving unfinished answers locally is not the same as your team receiving an enquiry, and the Marketplace plugin does not deliver partial entries to Kibi.

## Do the phone test. Yes, the whole thing.

#### Make the first hello easy.

“Tell us a little about your project.”

Give the visitor a clear question, readable labels and enough room to answer on a phone.

- A useful question, not a wall of fields.

- Labels that stay visible while typing.

- A button that explains the next step.

#### Know where the hello goes.

Form → chosen destination → person who replies

For a native form, choose the destination in Framer. For an embed, check the builder’s response settings. Installing Kibi Forms does not connect Kibi CRM.

- The destination is intentional.

- The field names make answers readable.

- The team knows who replies next.

#### Do the unglamorous, very attractive bit.

Open it. Send a test. Find the answer.

Run your own test on the published page. Check required fields, the confirmation and the actual arrival of the enquiry.

- Check a small phone screen.

- Try a missing required answer.

- Confirm delivery, not just a thank-you.

Open the published page at a narrow phone width. Read the introduction, complete the form and find the answer at its destination. Preview alone cannot settle every delivery question.

Try an empty required field, a long name and the longest sensible answer. Check that the label, error and next action remain readable.

Move through the form with a keyboard. Make sure focus is visible and the questions follow a useful order.

For steps and logic, test each branch, then go Back and change a choice. For embeds, check height, loading and the space around the form.

Use fictional details for your own tests and remove test records through the destination’s normal controls. Do not send someone else’s information just to see whether a button works.

- Read the labels at phone width; keep useful questions and remove the rest.

- Check required fields, errors, Back and each conditional route.

- Confirm the published form sends understandable field names and answers to the intended destination.

- Check that privacy information reflects the services actually receiving the answers.

- Agree who checks new enquiries and what happens when that person is away.

## The form got a hello. Who gets the next move?

Someone asks about a project. The answer arrives. Now the customer needs a person who knows what they asked and what to do next.

That is the separate job Kibi CRM is built for: shared enquiries, a named owner, useful context and planned follow-ups in Today.

The free Kibi Forms Marketplace plugin does not perform that CRM setup. For a native Framer form, a supported webhook connection is configured separately in Framer and Kibi.

Follow the website-form setup guide and check a test enquiry in the workspace. Installing the design plugin alone does not create a CRM record or assign a teammate.

Once the enquiry is in Kibi, your team can keep the conversation and next action together. Routing rules on Team and Growth help assign incoming work; the person still makes the reply.

Kibi CRM has a 14-day trial, then a paid plan. You can keep using the free Framer plugin without a CRM subscription.

Choose the form tool around the questions. Choose the follow-up workflow around the people making the promises. Lovely typography should not have to carry the entire relationship.

## A few questions before you fall for a builder.

What are the best Framer form builders?

Kibi Forms is our first pick for designed native forms and extra fields. Framer’s own forms suit simple contact pages; Formspark handles submissions; Tally and Typeform offer separate builders you can embed. Choose around editing, questions and delivery rather than a universal winner.

Can I add a contact form in Framer without a plugin?

Yes. Insert a native form, edit its fields and configure a destination such as email, Google Sheets or a webhook. Check required questions and the published form’s delivery before using it for real enquiries.

Is Kibi Forms for Framer free?

Yes. The current Marketplace design plugin is free and needs no Kibi account. It includes nine editable designs and seven extra field choices. Kibi CRM is a separate service with a 14-day trial, then a paid plan.

Can I build a multi-step form in Framer?

Kibi Forms includes Project brief and Quick quote designs with steps, progress, Back and conditional visibility. You can also use an external builder such as Tally or Typeform and embed its form. Check each answer path on the published page.

Does the free Kibi Framer plugin upload files or send entries to Kibi CRM?

No. The current Marketplace edition does not include file uploads or a Kibi CRM connection. Forms use Framer’s submission settings. A supported native-form webhook connection to Kibi is a separate setup; installing the plugin does not perform it.

What is the difference between native and embedded Framer forms?

A native form is part of your Framer project and can be designed there. An embedded form is built and managed in another service, then placed on the Framer page. Check editing, mobile behaviour and where responses are stored for either approach.

How do I know my Framer form is working?

Send a test with fictional details from the published page, then check the actual answers at the configured destination. Also test required fields, errors, keyboard focus, phone layout and any conditional branches. A visible thank-you does not replace checking delivery.

## The useful details, straight from the source.

Provider documentation and listings were checked on 18 October 2026. The links in each tool’s section explain its current setup and features. Recheck relevant plans when choosing or publishing.

We have not presented independent speed, accessibility or conversion benchmarks. The practical test checklist is for your own published form, because its design, destination and surrounding page matter.

## Make the first hello worth following up.

If you want a designed native starting point, give Kibi Forms a look. Pick the useful questions, make the section feel like your site and check where the answers go.

When those enquiries need shared ownership and a next move, explore Kibi CRM separately. Keep a little charm in the form and a little follow-through after it.
